Supporta Datacare offer specialist data conversion services. We can convert any document (paper or film) into any image format.
Our state of the art scanning bureau is located on the same site as the archive shelters. This means that records can be pulled from the archive, then scanned and re-filed without leaving site.
We use top of the range equipment from Kodak and Panasonic and have the capacity to deliver 200,000+ A3/A4 pages per day. Options available include:
High Volume Document Scanning
200,000+ A3/A4 pages per day. Sophisticated high speed scanners enable us to process large volumes of documents at minimal cost.
Large Format Scanning
Any size of paper, drawings or maps (up to A0).
Microfilm
All forms including; rolls, fiches, COM, X-Rays, photographic negatives, 16mm up to full plate.
Microfiche
Automated scanners capable of processing approx 100 frames per minute.
High density COM fiche, jackets or mixed 16 & 35mm (e.g. planning applications).
Books
Specialist book scanners capable of handling even the most fragile book without contact with the original pages.
OCR
State of the art Optical Character Recognition, Intelligent Character Recognition and HTML conversion software can accurately convert large volumes of paper into electronic form.
Data
Conversion from one system to another. Optical disks, WORM drives, CDs, DVDs, tapes and disks can all be read and converted into more usable formats.
Image on Demand
If you don’t need the physical file, you could save time, money and the planet by utilising our Image on Demand Service. Image on Demand enables you to access your documents through a secure online portal via email, telephone or fax.
Preparation and De-prepping
Our trained staff are meticulous in the preparation of documents for scanning. We de-staple, straighten, barcode, create and index folders as part of the scanning process. On request, we can also de-prep your files – making sure they are in better than original condition.

We can index your files and folders according to your requirements and to suit your business needs.
Legal Admissability
We are capable of scanning documents to BIP 0008:2004; the Code of Practice for legal admissibility and evidential weight of information stored electronically.
Comprehensive Quality Control is used to effect dynamic thresholding, border removal, de-skewing, dither correction and blank page removal.
A range of viewing platforms are available. You can receive images via email, CD or DVD disc, direct upload, hosted archive, through a secure online portal or another medium of your choice.
